True, I should instead listen to the comments made by armchair critics. Duncan has plenty of experience and is respected in the cricketing world. But yeh posters on ICF probably better understand his worth. People tend to think he does nothing because you don't see him in public, giving interviews, etc. Maybe you should ask yourself, why that is. Because that's what his employers have decided. The same employers that have continued to pay him for 4 years. Why would anyone continue paying someone for services they don't value?

By that logic we shouldnt question anyone who's there.In the end results matter,and that have been mixed at best.If we can bash Dhoni,players,etc for results why not him?

Why would anyone continue paying someone for services they don't value? dont know if he was constrained by selectors, captain or the available talent in our country, but whichever way you look at it we have had an average test record over the past 4 years in tests won 13,lost 17 out of 39 played agree that we did well in ODI's & T20s , but most fans would have liked a decent performance in overseas tests too. The low point was the test defeat against Eng in India

Actually lot of ENglish fans ridiculed at the choice of Indian coach at the time of his appointment. He was past by sell date at the time we hired him. He was losing it big time with weird strategies. So choosing him was going to bring us either bad ideas or he was going to sit idle . Renewing his contract was a mistake

He was given world Cup winning team which went on to win CT as well. But, In case you forgot, after complete dismal show against English in 2014 (even in odis), Our lowest point, Ravi Sashtri was appointed as Team director. I am not even mentioning the home test series humiliation against English
Malcolm Merlyn Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Lets see who replace them.FFS get a good bowling coach.If anyone listened to Shoaib Akhtar when India were bowling you would understand the difference between the thinking/planning of a very good fast bowler and our bowlers and some Bharat Arun isnt good enough to change it.
