This is disgraceful from Kohli if what TOI reports is true. Inflated opinion of oneself, whining mentality, putting down your team mates before the whole world... these aren't attributes I want to see in a future Indian captain. What is the difference between him and Selfie if he downgrades his team mates? In the last five years quite a few apart from Kohli have won us matches. In WC 2011/2015 and CT 2013 there were quite a few who out performed Kohli by quite a distance. "I don't think there's anybody else in the team who has done better than me/I am better than anyone in the team" kind of statements is something I have never heard from any cricket player in the world since I started following, what impact will it have on other 10 players? beats me. I said it before and I will repeat myself, this guy isn't mature enough to lead the Indian team, Ashwin/Rahane are much better bets. He will bring Indian cricket down with his attitude and politics to such an extent that 90s will look much better in comparison. And FFS please stop comparing him with Sachin, Ponting, Villiers, Amla,Sanga etc.

In this social media era you will have constant scrutiny. If he can't help taking it personally he should be able to seperate his personal life from professional life. Keep your personal life in dark. Best way he can do is get married. Everything will die down automatically. Dravid despite being a meek guy had fair share of lady fans. I daresay more than Kohli. But he conducted himself with utmost dignity. Nobody knew if he even had a real date. Some like Ravinot-Amrita, Saurav-Nagma, Azhar-Sangeetha all those relationships were under the scrutiny of media. One difference was there was no social media. So Kohli either has to learn to ignore it or put an end to it.

I don't think his game will be affected too much. He likes the heat. But he took this issue way too personally . May be coz of Anushka. This guy has a long career ahead of him. So he should not take these things too seriously.
