World was mostly boring apart from India matches even they werent close games.Unlike IPL most matches were devoid of crowds pointless and one sided affairs.Even the pitches so far are much better than that served up in Australia IPL is already much better close games great crowds in total lot more fun

Yeah crowds are there but quality of cricket on the field is nowhere close Plently of catches dropped in the world cup as well.Its not like World cup was some golden standard in that regard Teams like Pakistan and Bangladesh were a joke in fielding in the world cup.Far worse than any IPL team
HippoSucks Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 So far this has been a boring IPL for me. A couple of close matches but they never should have been close (DD should have had no issues chasing 150 for example). Horrible fielding and sub par batting too.

I can tell you the key moments of the WCs from 1996 to 2015. I cant remember what happened in last years IPL. Pressure nerves all come into it. Can say hand on heart never felt any pressure with the IPL. Mumbai lose to Chennai its sad. But India lose to anybody in a WC its depressing.

I didn't ask whether IPL is a bigger or more prestigious tournament than world cup .Whether it is better.Also only comparing with this year world cup. For somebody better means more excitement. Somebody else its the weight of history and what matter. Its also not fair to compare a T20 tournament to a ODI one.
Debutant Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 IPL is better than international matches any day. Lol at people claiming quality was low because of missed catches. We all saw paki fielding and I am sure you guys all liked the quality of minnows.

don_corleone840 Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Ipl teams are much better balanced compared to world cup. And unlike world cup, each team has lot of fan base. So its better product. I am not big ipl fan but can't deny fact. As far quality is concerned, nowadays it sucks in every format.
