Desi Cartman Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 I clicked on the link to read but then saw below as the headline and decided against it. Pakistan is the world’s fastest-growing Muslim economy
Invasion 550 Posted May 11, 2015 Author Posted May 11, 2015 I clicked on the link to read but then saw below as the headline and decided against it. The article basically focuses on Pakistan being the top Muslim nation in terms of economic progress which is true. However, my intention was different.

If you look at how developed Malaysia is compared to Pak, Malaysia's numbers are actually more impressive .... Pak's GDP is US$232B, per capita GDP is US$1275 (2013); while Malaysia's US$313B / US$10500 respectively * The GDP in Pak is actually expected to decline by approx. 1% in 2016 from 2015. The industrial production grew at approx. 1% only. The influx of Chinese goods will probably kills small manufacturing businesses in Pak. The out-dated infrastructure tech transfer from China may not benefit Pak in the long run as other countries would be using the latest and probably more efficient technology * The proposed Silk Route corridor will help Pak to kick start its services sector, however in general Pak's population is more suited to industrial production than services sector. Also the Silk Route is to benefit China more as it will help China to cut its supply chain downtime and probably costs so Pak will have to serve that supposedly lucrative services market by keeping costs (and margins) low
randomGuy Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Suicide jacket manufacturing, terror training camps, aid money, extortion money, betting, drugs smuggling etc propping up neighbour's economy.:two_thumbs_up:
NareshK Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 The article basically focuses on Pakistan being the top Muslim nation in terms of economic progress which is true. However' date= my intention was different. Indonesia and Nigeria are way ahead of Pakistan. Bangladesh also has better economic potential because their internal security situation is much better. However, you can choose to believe in whatever you want if it helps you sleep better.
G_B_ Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Pakistan has been following IMF guidelines which is why it is making gains. big question is if it can sustain it. I dont see any structural reform. Low price of oil has been helping both countries. As far as India goes provided Modi can push through major reforms in the first two years of government I think India will be solidly 8% plus in growth come 2019. *subject to the global economy. I notice India's reserves are building at a steady pace to absorb any future shocks. Its only a matter of time corporate debt in India reduces and firms are able to capitalise on the reforms.

Its not me choosing what to believe. I have eyes and i can see the table by the economist which i would prefer to believe rather than some random guy on the internet saying rofl. If you have any evidence to refute the evidence brought forward by the economist than you are welcome.

Biggest rape industry, match fixing, betting, 3G scandals, more than half of the population living under the line of poverty?
randomGuy Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Let me entertain you too. Biggest rape industry, match fixing, betting, 3G scandals, more than half of the population living under the line of poverty? If you think you are a liberal and a secular person, then don't associate yourself with pakistan because it represents something else. Maybe associate yourself with India. This way you won't feel personal when somebody (rightly) abuses pak.

You guys voted for a Hinduvita prime minister. Dont try to hold yourself higher than your neighbour. Throwing stones and glass houses.

Dont try to hold yourself higher than your neighbour. Throwing stones and glass houses. India has a long way to go. But still, if you are a liberal and secular Pakistani, and analyse honestly, you may conclude that Pakistan represents religious/sectarian cancer. And since Indians and Pakistanis have similar language, culture, looks etc. , liberal pakistanis should see themselves as Indians imo.
velu Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 pakistan economy will grow by additional 2% if they could manage to export 5kg of mangoes :giggle:
YUSER Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 PM of pakistan accepted the fact that they are beggars, Don't compare us with that sellout country.

Go and check GDPs, per capita income and growth rates of the above countries and come back and reply. Obviously, you will always believe Pakistan is best in everything because your madrassa training has taught you to have your head buried in sand firmly.
Detonator Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 There is a difference, in a salary hike of 1000$, for a guy who earns $10k and for another guy who earns $100k.

Why else will they allow Americans to rape their country and butcher their own countrymen for a few dollars ? The Americans said the people who live in mountains must be terrorists despite them having no connection with 9/11 but Pakis just allowed them to mass murder them just because they gave them a few bucks. Is there anything more pathetic than that ?
