He needs to be in working terms with ECB do that he continues playing in IPL and other T20 events. Once he finishes his T20 career, he can sue ECB and also publish books etc... This matter is not settled yet...

There was no official contract or anything like that. It was just an oral assurance that he would be considered for the team. Can't be grounds for a lawsuit.

He'd be unlikely to win the lawsuit, but he has nothing to lose. It's not like ECB are going to prevent him from playing in the IPL because of the lawsuit. If they did prevent him from playing in the IPL, that itself would warrant another lawsuit-- a much easier one for KP.

Even these no win no fee lawyers are misleading. You do have to pay for the other people's cost. He is much better off financially writing columns in newspapers and playing in t20 leagues. If i was kp i would stay away from coaching. Much better he go down the MV route and start becoming a pundit and launch his own line of KP cricket accessories etc. KP is rolling in money. His book sales have soared and as long as this remains in the headlines he will continue to get fat cheques in the mail.

He'll make more money now. If he becomes a commentator/analyst, he can screw ECB and Strauss/Cook in different ways...

He has a deal of £10,000 per column in the Telegraph. I expect KP to have a column in an Indian paper like Toilet of India soon. (maybe not for that much money). Its funny in a way. Dereck Pringle was always very critical of KP. Then KP joined the Telegraph and Pringle changed his tune. These british journos are just ****. In a way its the best thing to happen to KP. As asretix dada says. He has absolved himself of blame and nobody can call him a mercenary. Yet at the same time he does not run the risk of getting picked and failing for England which would have reflected very poorly on him.

Also instead of the trust bullshit they could have taken a line that he is now too old to be a long term prospect and they want to build a team with someone like root as captain

Can't be grounds for a lawsuit. I am pretty sure law of contracts allow for oral agreements. He was promised something, asked to prove something which he did and then denied. If that's not gross breach of trust and good faith, I don't know what is.

He's already in the news for publicly bad mouthing KP (calling him a female genital organ) , now this. Of KP really wants he can show in court that Strauss had made uncharitable and derogatory remarks against him and thereby prove that Strauss is hugely biased against his return. Unbelievable that the toppies at ECB selected someone like Strauss in the first place.

Get dropped afterwards, told in public you are not a team guy. Then told to stop participating in t20s and score good in first class s to be ci sided. ECB has denied him the right to represent country, loss of IPL revenue and humiliation. TBH I think , England will loose 5-0 for next 5 ashes series at least, unless rain god do his trick
