Sachin=GOD Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 As for performance in this 1 year - I'm not disappointed by the Govt's performance (never expected it to come and wave a magic wand which would remove all problems. What they had promised before the election can't even be completed in 5 years, forget about 1). They have built the groundwork for many things - let's see whether they can achieve their aims in the next 3-4 years. One thing they should do from now on is not to make too many announcements - they've made too many announcements like Smart Cities where nobody, including people in the govt, seems to know what exactly is it and how will it be achieved or funded. Another thing they need is to improve relations with the media so whatever good work is being done gets proper coverage (for ex - the other day Gadkari was on some news channel as part of a 1 year of Govt show and he said that in its last year UPA was making 2 km of roads everyday while this govt was building 14 kms per day in 2015 - this is a massive increase if true but I have not read about it/seen it anywhere in the media) - right now a lot of people feel disappointed because they only see the picture painted by the media. BJP will suffer badly if this continues. They also need to find work for the more than 250 BJP MPs who are not ministers - there are lots of advisory committees (apart from the Lok Sabha committees) where they can be put to use or involve them heavily in party work (that also hasn't been done till now - many MPs have been sitting idle for 1 year as they are not being asked to do anything apart from Swachch Bharat photo ops). Regarding Swachch Bharat - till now (apart from some exceptions) it has mostly been a photo op - if they are serious about it then they should prepare a roadmap of how/when/where/what will be cleaned - maybe create regional centers and give responsibility to MPs who have no work. Disappointed with BJP (or rather with Modi and Shah) for letting some people from BJP/RSS etc talk whatever sh!t they feel like without any repercussions. Also, RSS needs to be controlled - its hell bent on implementing its (regressive) agenda as quickly as possible - won't do any good to the govt or to the people. They should be kept away from govt bodies as much as possible - I don't see that happening though.
