Dhoni has scored only one half-century in Sri Lanka ' date='that too on a dead pitch....So in Lanka, Saha>Dhoni.[/quote'] That pitch was truly dead... I think we scored 700+

yes, Dhoni and Watling have similar averages, but everyone knows , Watling is much better test batsman.Stats can be misleading.

Watling does avg a bit more than Dhobi though. A lot of keepers these days avg over 40 - Chandimal, Watling, Sarfaraz (over 50!); Ramdin is prob the only regular keeper (amongst the older Test teams) who avgs less than 30.

I still maintain he is a quota pick. however he has earned the right to be selected for the rest of the series. That much I will say
He is the best wk batsman in the country. Its your dhoni love speaking.

He isn't quality but seems to fight well. If Kaushal was accurate, he could have got Saha under 10 runs which is also true. We unfortunately don't have many options. And Saha deserves his run.
There are no if's and but's in cricket If Murali was still playing and he is still young... If Adam was born in srilanka no...it's not going to work that way Unfortunately, Kaushal is still young and lot to prove.....

Ifs and buts are excuses. But every aspect needs to be taken when judging quality. I am glad Saha scored bro. I was doubtful about him I admit. But there was a period when he was struggling and Kaushal would bowl 2-3 full tosses very quickly and release all pressure. We are judging Saha's quality in general not his innings which was praiseworthy no doubt.

What quota pick! Name one wk who could have been picked? This guy averages in mid 40s in FC cricket and they prepared mostly green tracks for their fast bowlers at Eden Gardens in recent years. He has carried their batting for years.

Samson is not a regular keeper in Ranjis - keeping over 5 days is very different from hit-and-ggigle T20s. Moreover' date=' his batting has also heavily regressed - his FC, List A and T20 avgs are quite ordinary. I have better hopes of Bains and Kishan, who are much younger and will hopefully improve in Ranjis.[/quote'] You have no idea what are you talking about about. Samson is 20, Bains is 19. What is the difference in age. Samson averages in 40s in FC. Not too many young cricketers average 50 plus at the age of 20 in first class cricket.

Some of the best keepers in international started out as non regular keepers in domestic

Cretainly not from current lot
