jusarrived Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 it was a flat pitch on day 1 when Rohit missed 2 straight deliveries to get out' date=' one of them turned out to be a no ball.[/quote'] These pitches don't suit him , he needs true wickets with no variable bounce I said this before the start of match as well . Am basically saying both are equally bad but don't be surprised if Rohit turns into bradman with most of our upcoming series at home .
BeautifulGame Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I don't think Gautam or ojha international class they are just par with Saha . Samson's keeping just dosent inspire confidence , at best in LOI,s he can be considered . I would say give DK another shot , may be with MSD not around he will feel less under pressure and play to his potential . The least he's a better batsmen than half our current lineup Karthick no way lo His keeping has deteriorated badly and few seasons and even his batting hasn't been that reliable .

Parthiv to me is good bat too for long form cricket but his keeping is atrocious.

Parthiv to me is good bat too for long form cricket but his keeping is atrocious. I agree on Partiv too , I know a lot of people hate him for few goofups in early stages of his career but hes a much improved batsmen these days . DK was always quality , I felt he was under too much pressure when Dhoni was around cis he knew he was always going to be a backup option . May be he will handle pressure better now , worth a shot .
jusarrived Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Karthick no way lo His keeping has deteriorated badly and few seasons and even his batting hasn't been that reliable . it happens with players when there is no motivation . if we dint have Dhoni , DK most likely would have had a long test career playing for India . I wouldn't take his domestic form too seriously

vishalvirsingh Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I guess Naman ojha is the best option that we have currently if saha is not supported.
maniac Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Not good enough....yeah played a decent knock but his keeping is on par with the legend kakmal....I saw the catch he put down
vishalvirsingh Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Karthik is an average keeper and Parthiv is too short to play for an international cricket team. though parthiv bats well and his keeping is decent but his reach is so small as a keeper one needs to dive and stop balls that are a bit far too...that's where parthiv struggles.. I feel naman ojha can succeed.

Saha has played for Bengal on more diff pitches and played crucial knocks with the lower order. I'm not saying that this automatically translates to international success though. Anyway, he's on 19* and his role will be crucial tomorrow - it will mean the diff between getting to 350 and scoring 400.
Vijy Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Saha has already played more balls than any other Indian batsman barring Kohli and Dhawan.
cricket.fan Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Some posters are unbelievable..won't even wait before passing final judgements

Vijy Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Karthik Vs Herath balls faced- 30 dismissals-4 Karthik is Herath's bunny. DK is too fidgety a batsman - enjoyed brief period of success as opener on tough tours, but the rest of his career was ordinary. See the no. of ODI comebacks he had - never quite successful or a failure (always in between) in them. DK's keeping does not impress me very much. This tour may be the making of Saha... or maybe not. Either way, he deserves around 2-3 consecutive Test series to properly assess him.

jusarrived Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Karthik Vs Herath balls faced- 30 dismissals-4 Karthik is Herath's bunny. you have serious comprehension issues and too much time to dig up irrelevant stats .
jusarrived Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 May be wrong thread , but some of the so called fans are plain pathetic . Stop being so sensitive about players from your state , I have see couple of instances where they take it personally if a player from their part is criticized . Some of the players are hyped endlessly for the same reason , no different from the selectors to pick players from their region , atleast you can imagine them getting a lot of pressure from their state boards , what is your excuse ?
