maniac Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Apart from Ashwin and Bhajji there are 2 very important names that standout and get your attention in that list :--D
maniac Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Actually in the series where Rohit won MOS' date=' Ashwin should have won that as well. 154 runs in 2 innings 12 wickets. in 2 tests by Ashwin.[/quote'] Nope his 100 in one of the tests batting with the tail was one of the best knocks played in the Indian sub continent
vvvslaxman Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 Nope his 100 in one of the tests batting with the tail was one of the best knocks played in the Indian sub continent Duh..Ashwin made a test 100 even before Rohit made a test 100. :cantstop: . Ashwin averaged 77 with bat. Rohit made 100 odd more runs than Ashwin. But Ashwin took 12 wickets.. you cannot possibly equate 12 wickets to 100 odd runs.

vvvslaxman Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 the context is important, you can't take anything away from Rohit's knock. even RP singh can take 5 cheap wickets when the sun is shining. Even Mishra can score 91 when he throws the bat around . See that is easy. Ashwin's 123 was more significant.
sscomp32 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Congrats Ashwin :hatsoff: His MOS haul of 21 wickets: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eq4jIOIedj8]R Ashwin's 22 wicket haul against Sri Lanka makes him the 'man of the series'. - YouTube[/ame]
rkt.india Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Actually in the series where Rohit won MOS' date=' Ashwin should have won that as well. 154 runs in 2 innings 12 wickets. in 2 tests by Ashwin.[/quote'] In fact, in that 4-0 Aus series, Pujara also could have been MOS too.
vvvslaxman Posted September 2, 2015 Author Posted September 2, 2015 In fact' date=' in that 4-0 Aus series, Pujara also could have been MOS too.[/quote'] Vijay made more runs.. 4 tests 30 wickets vs 400 odd runs.. i would go with the first.. That is why bowlers win more MOMs than batsmen.
rkt.india Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Vijay made more runs.. 4 tests 30 wickets vs 400 odd runs.. i would go with the first.. That is why bowlers win more MOMs than batsmen. I agree about it but it was a close contest between these 3.
zakk Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 match awards 3 and series awards 4 :woot: lagta hai iska match ki bajaye series me zyada interest hai :cantstop:

vvvslaxman Posted September 3, 2015 Author Posted September 3, 2015 More MOS than MOM!!! Most impactful Indian player as of now. He is developing into an Anil Kumble. He probably made the biggest impacts in Indian wins in the last couple of decades. ykvyas 1
adi B Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 He is developing into an Anil Kumble. He probably made the biggest impacts in Indian wins in the last couple of decades. Its quite natural that a bowler will make the most impact in winning a series or a match
