Not really. Calling the case dodgy based on the sequence of events is not declaring someone as not guilty.

This is a stupid post IMO. Even in the US most cases of violence against women are TRUE according to STATs

Did I deny there are not true rape cases ? I said woman accuse. There are cases where woman accuse for money. Comprehension problems new guy.

There are two charges:   Indian Penal Code sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 328 (causing hurt with intent to commit an offence). 

354 might suggest an attack of a sexual nature. But it need not be. It' a bogus primitive law that should have been repelled decades ago. Pat a woman on the back, and you could be charged with 354, if she decides to press charges. It's a law that's often abused: to trump up a set of charges or make a charge when no clear violation of another law has taken place, but the police/prosecution believe that indiscretion has occurred. 

I don't believe the woman is alleging rape or even attempted rape here. All she seems to be saying is that Mishraji hit her with a kettle. And there are supposedly witnesses + security footage of the incident.

Now the woman withdraws the case. She says she is friends with Amit mishra and says no pressure from anyone. This is all confusing.

"I won't withdraw the complaint against Amit (Mishra). I am hurt physically, mentally and emotionally by the cricketer. I want Amit to come in front of the police and talk to me," she was quoted as saying by The Hindu.
