vvvslaxman Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Also Andhra in the bottom list is questionable . They produce highest percentage IIT grads year after year. Higher Education is highly valued in Andhra. Having said there are far too many engineering colleges both in TN and Andhra than required. Understandably there might be quiet a few more there in those places cannot be employable.

randomGuy Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 college is a place to enjoy, make friends, experience things, learn duyinadari etc. Most services cos.(mass employers) anyways give training of 2-6 months to freshers. Anyways, surprised to see andhra n tamilnadu in bottom 25%ile. Not surprised to see Bihar in top 25 also.

In our CSE branch except for 5 or 6 guys, whose fathers were filthy rich, are doing business and rest all are having jobs. Almost every engineer I know are employed. So only 20% are employed is kinda surprising. adi B 1

Understandably there might be quiet a few more there in those places cannot be employable.Nothing suprprising in study, when you have plenty of engineering colleges mushrooming up then quality will surely detoriate , Haryana also is in 2nd bottom because so many engineering colleges emerged in last 10-15 years.Also when you have ciulture where you force children to become engineers then plenty of people will join and pass engineering just by memorising beetle and Adi_91 2

In short our system is pretty crappy right now+1But I have also seen Engineers from IITs who are pretty solid with their fundamentals. There are very very few Engineers in India who really know the stuff they study. Unfortunately, they move abroad for better jobs though.
