Ultimate_Game Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 We lost to Kiwis in 2007 WT20 and look how it turned out! Cross your fingers (and toes), back the boys and hope they win out PBN 1
gattaca Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 This is just one game. This is just good kick in the back. We will back.
chewy Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Back then we had a formidable Yuvraj Singh. The current combined lot of Dhoni, Pandya and Jadeja dont even equal half of Yuvraj 2007 diehardpacer 1
Adi_91 Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Being in the group of death, India could have at least tried to reduce the margin of defeat. The NRR is -2.35 atm. diehardpacer and adi B 2
asterix Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Can't just rely on Kohli to win matches for you... Nohit is sucking big time.. Dhavan is a hack... UV is in some different planet. He himself doesn't know what he'll do...The less I say about part timers like Jaddu and Raina, the better... diehardpacer and adi B 2

zen Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Wouldn't matter if we win out.It could as there is a possibility of 3 teams ending up with 3 wins:* NZ wins vs Ind, BD and Pak = 3 wins* Aus wins vs NZ, BD and Pak = 3 wins* Ind wins vs Pak, BD and Aus = 3 wins The better bet is if Ind wins all 3 and one or both of Pak and BD win one or two games vs. NZ and/or Aus

I hate these permutations and reminds me of 2007 when we were praying for Bermuda to upset Bangladesh for us to sneak in. Gives me bad memories.
Ankit_sharma03 Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Lets not overreact, this wc will be roaler coaster rideIF there are going to b few more pitches like these, it ll become very toss oriented matches. I bet today had Nz been also batting second even against Bang they wud have lost. There are gonna be a few rain affected games as well. And an unexpected team like pak will do some team trouble. Now we r mostly likely to win against Pak n BAng , remains aus. But if any team like pak or bang beats any of the teams like aus or Nz, the whole table wud become messy. On such pitches Anything can happen. One very crucial factor that goes in favour of Bang is no Pak, Nz n Aus hasnt played mustafizur before. There cud be quite a few upsetsTo be honest we dindt bowl well, but i dnt expect same from other teams specially after watching today's match.I still beilve we ll go through and there wud be alot of surprises in this tournament. You have to believe that you get in if you win out. Keep things simple and not worry about things beyond your control.
philcric Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 (edited) It's a tough format and a tough group. The team which loses its first game will be under tremendous pressure.Winning the first game is a huge help because you know you can afford to slip up once in the remaining 3 games. Psychologically it makes a lot of difference. Edited March 15, 2016 by philcric zen and Adi_91 2
adi B Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Its okay, one loss against our boggey team.need to refocus now and prepare one match at a time, all three teams are beatable

It ended our tournament effectively, although we beat Pakistan quite handsomely and SA by 1 run. That was truly a horrible year in Indian cricket with home defeat against England after the World Twenty20.
