I would've given Yuvi one over when Akmal Jr and Malike were at the crease. Both are right handers, pitch's turning square and Akmal has a weakness against left arm spinners. You never know what can happen but you go with percentages and to me Pandya giving 3 overs were 2 overs too many. IMO I woud've bowled out Ashwin and given at least one to Yuvi.

You also ignore that dhoni constantly goes for part time spinners on pitches with seam and today one time it was required he did not. Horses for courses is the sign of a good captain. There is a reason NZ dropped their best seamers and went with part time spinners and wiped our ass at Nagpur

Using medium pacers against the likes of Malik and hafeez was a wise decision imo. These guys made their careers out of Indian off spinners and part time bowlers. At last its the medium pacer who got Malik out with a bouncer.

This shows you either did not even watch the match or are trolling. Hafeez came in the 17th over. No one asked spinners to bowl then. The overs in contention are the middle overs where he bowled 4 overs of seam from both end and conceded 41 runs. You cannot defend that on this wicket. Yes Pandey went for 15 runs on a low scoring match but it was a wise decision? Why? What logic are you even sing?

And you also cannot ignore that Dhoni goes for Raina's multiple overs on seaming wickets

If you need reason to slam dhoni at least pick the right ones. The way dhawan Raina are batting nrr is least of our worry, we won't win against Aussies so nrr doesn't even come into picture.

After Sharjeel, I think all the Paki batsmen were right handed. I find it bizarre why Yuvi was not bowled as all the batsmen were right handed instead Pandya was bowled 2 overs. Never understand Dhoni's strange decisions

Pathetic captaincy, we could have gained valuable net run rate by crushing Pakistan. Those four overs in the middle part of the game went for 41 runs when spinners were giving only 2-4 runs per over. Dhoni should be replaced as Limited overs captain ASAP, he has already mentioned his desire to keep playing and i am fine with that, just give up captaincy and contribute as Batsmen and Wicket keeper.

I'm a big Dhoni fan but he did make a mistake in not going with couple more overs of spin. Akmal is terrible against spin, especially the left arm variety so I'm not sure how you can say he would've thrived against him. Plus Ashwin is no ordinary off spinner. He's probably the best going around and on this pitch him not completing his quota was criminal. IMO Pakistan were able to score 12-15 more than what they should've scored.
