Are you for real? The overs in questions are the 4 overs in middle overs which went for 41 runs. There was no need to give Pandey 2 overs but give 0 to Yuvi and only 1 to Raina after after his brilliant over.

Well Pandey did pick up a wicket in his first to get that second over in which he went for 15. Not bowling Yuvi was surprising especially with two right handers in Akmal and Malik. But only Dhoni knows what goes inside his mind, in the end it worked out fine.

Thats what forum is for discuss tactics.You are in wrong place it seems.It was sheer stupidity which we continued from nz match where yuvi was not used .It was a rank turner and we had ashwin blowing 3 overs and raina 1 and yuvi nil

How do you claim bowling worked when the seamers went for 77 runs in 10 overs and spinners 36 in 8 overs? Ghanta worked.

Never question Dhoni in ICC tournies. He works in mysterious ways  But yeah if he had used Yuvi and bowled out Ashwin and more of Raina, Pak would've scored 12-15 runs less.

If that's the case you can't question any player who is playing at this level.

You don't need to be a genius to see how poorly Dhoni used his bowlers today.
