There's plenty of younger talent out there but the current team is a bit of clique and closed shop hence are never given a chance.

Yuseless has done nothing domestically yet not only gets selected but is a regular. Likewise Dartbhajan.

Raina is done. Dhawan is hopeless in T20s and should never have been selected. Nohit is useless as a opener.

Nohit tuk-tuk initially and then after first 10 overs or 15 overs, then up tempo can work in ODI, not T20. There he has 40-45-50 overs to play out. So keep him only for ODI

This strategy is good for ODIs. But he is too slow for T20s in PP.

With his slow poke batting style he puts pressure on his partner as well. We need a free flowing batsman as an opener, not someone who chokes the flow of runs of his own team.

Selection woes I would say. T20 is not a platform to let struggling batsmen find their groove. You need players in form, the kind that can come in and start playing crisp strokes right from the get go.

I think Apart from Yuvi the rest of the batsman selected in the squard are top 8 runs scorers in the IPL. Uthappa and Iyer being the only ones left out. Hardik and negi are hard hitting all rounder, can't argue with them. Mishra should have been picked but according to the IPL Bhajji is in better from.

if your going by IPL stats alone its hard to argue with this team selection, except replace Dhawan/for Iyer, Uthappa for Yuvi, except you can make the case that Yuvis bowling can prove handy.
