gakgupta Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Total shameCan't believe it happenedSent from my XT1068 using Tapatalk
kosingh Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Attacked? A bit of an exaggeration. Attacked is what happened to the Sri Lankan cricket team. This was a very unfortunate, uncalled for and disgraceful stoppage. Shame on those involved. But let's not call it an attack.
Adi_91 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 First of all he was not attacked. He has been heckled and that doesn't tantamount to an attack. tweaker 1

We shouldn't feel better if we are not "as bad as Pakistan". Pakistan is a failed state and is no benchmark for comparison.
zep1706 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 This is the new normal in India. Ankit_sharma03 1
Adi_91 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 This is the new normal in India. Wasim Akram is liked overall in India except maybe by few people. What surprises me is the lack of security for him. tweaker 1
Stuge Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) He is not attacked .Show has been stopped by unknown men . "I'm changing the heading as it is misleading" Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk Edited March 28, 2016 by Stuge kosingh 1
kosingh Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 I've been a little concerned about the possibility of a spectator incident during this series. I don't think a big security incident is possible, because I am sure it is impossible to get any weapons past security at the gates. But at the game, I've been dreading some minor incident like this. The security guards seem to sprawled out on the most comfortable seats in the stands, w/ chai and samosas, sitting back enjoying the game. Like match security back in the 90s.

I'm relieved Pak team is back in their hut .At least, nothing to worry now in that regard .

Malcolm Merlyn Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) Contrary to some media reports in Pakistan,Legendary Pakistani bowler Wasim Akram was not attacked or heckled on a live show in India. The same was confirmed by AajTak tv on which the show happened and later by Wasim Akram himself. EspnCricinfo later found out that the same man who interruped Wasim's show also interruped the show of ABP News on which Murali Kartik was the guest and which was being shooted just adjacent to Wasim's show.Wasim Akram, the former Pakistan captain, had a live shoot for an Indian news channel interrupted on Sunday night in Mumbai. The incident occurred when one man in the locality where the show was being filmed objected to it being shot there, an employee of the Hindi news channel, Aaj Tak, who was present at the scene, told ESPNcricinfo. Only that one man was involved in the incident, and there was no heckling of Akram, or any physical harm to him, the employee said. ESPNcricinfo was able to confirm that the same man similarly disrupted the shoot of another TV channel, ABP news, which was being carried out next to the Aaj Tak set-up. Former India spinner Murali Kartik was the cricket expert on that show. http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc-world-twenty20-2016/content/story/991893.html Edited March 28, 2016 by Malcolm Merlyn
chewy Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 India media is a cesspit, first that false reporting of how BCCI instructed Mohali pitch be turned into turner, then this Wasim Akram fake news. Remember lame Arnab Goswami attacking India cricket team after 2015 WC SF loss, and it backfired on him.Too many incompetent people working in Indian news media. Also, yesterday India won, but it wasn't a major news event, most channels went in Breaking News mode, lol, some of these wannabe journalists have their priorities mixed up Rasgulla, Adi_91 and Silva 3
