That was in Sachin's farewell series. Even WI looked like they wanted to go home. Don't read much into it.

 

Rohit since then has been worse than Ashwin with the bat.

difficult proposition boss. But Ashwin is thairsadham he will do well, dont know about Vijay he is the 'local padam' variety.

As far as skills are concerned both Umesh and Shami very similar skills. Both can move the new bowl around, can bowl decent bouncers and are very good with the old ball. Both have a tendency to spray the ball sometimes. Umesh beats Shami as far as pace is concerned but not by much.

Was listening to Virat Press conference , he mentioned he is looking for bowlers more who can bowl more stump to stump line in WI as outside off wnt help that much on these slow pitches. HE said this in context of this pitch and things could change when then play in barbados or jamaica as their is a lot more bounce. 

 

As far as diff for me in them is Shami has a sharp bouncer which WI batsman wud struggle against and shami lines are diff than umesh. Both are erratic but umesh is a lil more. Even though i would love to have umesh but atleast m nt upset with the replacement, had it been bhuvi it would have annoyed me more.

If Binny is able to do justice to his selection in the squad,he should be able to score some valuable runs & should be able to take some wickets.

Kohli has hinted Dhawan would be preferred over Rahul in the 1st test.He has also praised Shami as complete bowler who can bowl with new ball,reverse swing with old ball.This probably means he will partner Ishant Sharma as the new ball bowler.

He also hinted at selecting Binny/ Jadeja as per the pitches instead of Robot Sharma
