Actually Kabaddi is the fastest growing sport in Canada and this summer there was the Canadian Kabaddi championships in Calgary that drew thousands of spectators and a lot of teams. Vilander 1

Basically they include all those superior sports nations whom they have colonized like Scotland, Wales and Isle of Man in their Olympic team. Hence the exaggerated medal count. If Germany or Russia or the Mongols were to count medals that way, even they'd be in the top 5.
PBN Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Kabaddi has always been a really popular game amongst Punjabis. Even abroad, in the 1990's stadiums used to be packed and even local parks used to have kabaddi and other sports organized on the weekends..almost like a picnic for the family. It's the 'circle' style kabaddi that I have grown up watching. IMO, the circle style provides much more freedom and freestyle with the bigger dimensions as compared to the boxed one. Vid from 1995.
Tibarn Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 There's a whole Punjabi style Kabaddi league in the US I randomly found a live stream the other day from Sacramento, California. I need to bulk up and join during periods when classes are off.
