How can a person be no1 in a doubles sport?

 

Tennis is dull at the best of times but doubles is a lazy retirement home for has-beens or for those who could not make the cut in the real version.

Sania is pretty headstrong, is she Indian still ? thought she migrated to Dubai/Karachi no ? 

 

I think Indian tennis players/coaching system know how to get to top in doubles, few examples now. Its a good acheivement being world number one in anything, congrats to pakistan, sure now there will be more from pakistan now in terms of doubles players.

It is like Jaddu or Rohit sayng they are no. 1 test players just because they are part of the no 1 test team.

No. The players do have their own individual rankings in the tennis doubles. Sania is No.1 and Hingis is No.2

She was just No.1 with Hingis for most of it. After they parted, she played in a tournament with her new partner and met Hingis with her new partner in the final and beat them. That's when she became sole No.1.

And the way Sania reacted was equally bad. Exposes her insecurities.
