No, he wasnt. He was nowhere near Imran Khan. As a matter of fact, he was the worst of all the 4.

Imran never was an allrounder, for majority of his career he was tailender who could bat and at end of his career he became prodder who could stone wall and build innings where as Beefy could walk into England team as batsman alone for majority of his career.

 

As an allrounder Imran is no match for Beefy in  his prime. Unlike Imran who needed home umpiring to be great bowler, Beefy in prime single handedly could win match on his own even in India by scoring a 100 and then taking 13 wickets on top of it he is an all time great slip fielder.

 

He is the only all rounder to feature  in all time  top 100 in batting  and all time top 100 in bowling. He has infact 9th best ranking in bowling. He just became fat and lazy as he became older but at his peak there is no better all rounder than him in the history of the game.
