I don't.

Test cricket is a terrible colonial legacy. It is suited for the cooler climes of England where the players wore sweaters and had tea and biscuits along with the spectators between innings. It was a strictly upper stiff lipped upper class of nonathletic Britishers who played this game. In India too, it was the collaborating princes who were the earliest proponents of this abomination. Not only does the sport reek of treachery, but playing test cricket in the blistering hot weather of India is also very stupid.

LOI, however, are a desi-ized hybrid of decadent test cricket and the vivacious gulli danda, better suited for the Indian climate and the athletic Indian constitution.

Last time my husband gave me similar gyan....my response was :nevermind:"Bandar kya jaane adrakh ka swaad"

Devru olle buddi kodli.

May God give good mind. Don't get the context, is he wishing that somebody else gets similar smartness like you or to you to get better sense than watching test cricket.

I think he meant "Devru olledu maadali" - which means "Praying to god that good things will happen to you"!

Frankly it's the same old BS nonsense .Something similar was said when Dhoni became captain too.New young captain ,India no.1 in rankings , test cricket is revived in India and all the same nonsense .Yet it remained the same in reality.

Also the 2010 test vs Aus. One of the most epic run chases. :giggle:

Yeah it's the same and will always remain the same. Whenever Kohli goes and some new one arrives these 'ICF EXPERTS' will still be the same.

Between 2008 and mid 2011...the first few years of Dhoni's captaincy and Kirsten's coaching tenure....test matches were very enjoyable for Indian fans too.

I enjoyed that period immensely.

The same happened during the first few years of Dada's captaincy in the early 2000s.

The same is happening from 2nd half of 2015 under Kohli and Kumble.

A  team, with its captain, players and coach at their peak....is always enjoyable for me irrespective of the individuals involved.

The fact that it slumped later on does not take away those enjoyable years for true fans.

Revival of test cricket depends partially on our performance and partially on how test cricket is marketed.

You are saying exact same thing in a more polite manner. :giggle: Also you don't belong to that experts group which I mentioned. You don't blame Dhoni for everything and praise Kohli for anything.

The things is I enjoy every match whether India wins or loses. Obviously I get angry/frustrated/disappointed that India lost doesn't mean I stop watching a match because India is in bad position .

I think this year was the year of two halves...first the T20 overload till IPL and then the test storm . We once had all top 8 teams playing tests in the same week...as a fantasy cricket player, it the best you can ask for. Loved both the extremes.
