Spin there is some odd bounce and zip which negates  good spinners from the average ones.

 

Pitch not to different from what England had at Lords against Pak earlier this year

When India toured Pakistan in 2004, they had Akhtar who was well above 140, while Irfan and Balaji were well under 140.  Who got more wickets and which team won the series?  Speedgun numbers mean f@ck-all, cricket is a team sport.   And yeah, England have a slight edge that can possibly turn into a big one if they get to 450+ but to sit here and claim that its all done is symptomatic of a phattu.   And its easy to make tall claims of science, and then walk it back by saying don't take my posts literally.  That is not "acumen" its shamelessness.

What the hell you are making it seem like I want India to lose this test...all I am saying is things look bleak.....fast bowling looks toothless,Pitch looks pretty bland...it was Ashwin's skill that got us those wickets....Losing the toss was a nail in the coffin and we let Jenny on the block score a 100 and England still have 4 players capable of making test 100's still to bat.

 

It is a uphill task..if India pull this one,it is a steal but everything points towards an uphill task.
