Don't remember Haydos's heroics in similar situations. At least on one occasion, when chasing Lara's 375 he wasn't as carefree as Sehwag was when approaching his triple tons. Even after reaching 300 Sehwag never showed any desire to go after 350/the world record; he kept playing in his trademark style.
But, for sure Hayden had a great attitude, he was a guy with supreme ability and confidence. I am sure he & Sehwag would have made a remarkable opening pair.

That way you are corrct. No one joins Sehwag's league. He could care less about milestones. Another one of my favorite Sehwag moment was his double century at Galle.

 

We were 9 down and he was on 199. He had a chance to take a single early in the over on Murali's bowling and get to his double hundred but he refused the single because he realized Ishant on the other end might get out and that the longer he bats the more score team could get.

 

Sehwag eventually got his Double Hundred but that was a bloody selflfess moment right there. Most players would have taken the single and gotten the double hundred forgetting about the team's total.

I would rate that Galle knock the best knock by an Indian in last two decades away from India.Whole team had no clue on how to read Mendis or Murali .This guy batted as if it was walk in park.

 

My second favorite knock of Sehwag would be his Eden garden's 176 against South Africa you literally could see Steyn and Morkel were scared and had no clue on how to stop him.

Sorry 165 not 176,  South African coach confessed later that the bowlers were unsettled by Sehwag and his onslaught.

most good batsman has 50% conversion rate from 50 to 100 at any point of time i.e twice you go past 50 must convert 1 into 100
so if any batsman has 40 centuries ideally he should have---
(by that logic for every 50 run landmark)
100- 40 times
150- 20 times
200- 10 times
250- 5 times
300- 2 times

Ideally yes, but reality is far from this...larger the inns grows, the more difficult it becomes to sustain the ratio.
