Didnt pick up any wickets there. Hasnt played much since.

yeah was unlucky to not get wickets, actually bowled well without luck. Why are you saying has not played much since? Dont think You follow domestics. He has consistently been playing U23 for Rajasthan and made his Ranji debut this season. Even Avesh has not played much for MP who had already made his Ranji debut before last year's U19 WC. Both have been playing u23 CK Nayudu tournament.  Avesh did not play a single Ranji game last season. He played this season. Rajasthan already has a very strong bowling with Pankaj, Aniket, Nathu, Tanveer Ul-Haq and Deepak Chahar so very difficult for youngsters to break in. Nagarkoti too has not been able to break in yet in Ranjji trophy squad.

Khaleel is not even 20 yet. will turn 20 in December. He was sent to Center of Excellence Brisbane along with Tushar Deshpande of Mumbai for a 2 week program by BCCI.  There he was clocked 144K.

He was murdered by Bangladeshi kids on a damp pitch while chasing. Dont go by one special ball out of many.Even Sreesanth had produced jaffas. Let him show some promise in FC first and then we can hype him up to face Aussies.

murdered? i thought he was the only bowler who did well and pitch was not damp.

Dude, he went for 36 runs in 5 overs. That is more than 7 per over.In which world is that good bowling? And match was cut short due to rain and hence the moisture and dampness would have been in the pitch.

yes match had rain but that does not mean pitch was damp. Indian team too scored around 6 an over.  which means pitch was not damp and it got better as the game progressed. Regarding 36 in 5 overs, yes, he went for runs but he was the one who got us back somewhat in the game with 2 wickets in the middle. His first over was expensive that went for 12, rest were okay and we did not watch the game so cant form any opinion whether he bowled badly or not because even edges can go for runs when batsmen throw the bat around in PP.

i remember pat cummins got smashed in some u19 matches that too after he made his test debut but that didnt discourage aus ,they are good at developing their explosive pacers and select them.

Yes, before 2012 U19WC. Indian batsmen thrashed him.

any bowler can go for runs on any given day , just because someone went for runs does not mean he is bad bowler.

Young bowlers if they have proper action and with nice bounce and carry with a stock delivery then they are ready for big time. Only thing needed is experience and hard work if this kid has both of them, I don't see why he cannot become a good bowler.

All hype - no quality world class pace bowler coming up since decades now.

Just bowling pace for couple of years and with performance of average bowlers.

Shami is a world class bowler, has been averaging 25 since 2015. Anyone can have one bad game after a long break.

Fair enough if you want him to class him in that group on basis of stats. But I would not put him there yet.

Not just stats but because he has been bowling well since his come back after knee surgery.  He was world class against England where Ashwin averaged 30 and then bowled well in SL too. Just looked out of rhythm in this game.

*@#$$ Mumbai likes to play Trundlers n are highly nepotistic, they will also destroy Roystons career n where is promising Md Amir.

May be thats all they have and hence they keep getting picked in their state side. Its not like Mumbai or every state has lot of fast bowlers at club level who are waiting to be picked in their side. This is the reason why they current ones keep getting picked in their state side. The current ones are genuinely quicker than others or extemely better and hence they make their way like Shardul Thakur did. Unless you have lot of players in mind who missed out playing for Mumbai who were fast, then let us know and we can research on them.
