Why is Shami not included

May be he is not match fit.The team management may have taken a call to not rush him after a injury layoff.

This bit of news on Shami is a very  worrying.  Looks like Shami has aggravated his injury again.  How will he continue with his career with such dodgy knees  !!

Excerpts from articles --

"However, the right-handed bowler aggravated his injury and was subsequently not considered for the remainder of the series. India registered a 75-run win at Bengaluru to level the series. "

" Mohammed Shami may have missed out on being picked for the last two Test matches against Australia – purportedly because of the last minute aggravation of his knee injury – but the pacer will stay with the team nevertheless. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has asked him to travel to Ranchi, where the third Test will commence on March 16.

Shami bowled during Bengal’s Vijay Hazare game in Chennai but he has been asked to skip the team’s quarterfinal against Maharashtra in Delhi on March 15. This is apparently being done at the request of the team management. Shami had even bowled at the Indian team’s nets during the Bangalore Test. "

I dont know what is the purpose of doing this. If the injury has aggravated, he shouldn't be travelling with our team.

Which is why I am not sure whether the reports are 100% correct.

Pacer Mohammad Shami, who played in Bengal’s last group match against Gujarat on his return from an injury, has been picked in the side. He will play only if he is cleared by the National Cricket Academy.
