How many international players are in Indian team from these 2 states? Is contribution of other states really so less? If this is true, how is this fair distribution?

Thankfully SC has intervened .One state one vote is one of the best reforms for Indian cricket that could happen.

 

Its good that apart from associate funding ,Ranji teams like Mumbai and Saurashtra will also recieve extra funding too.

 

I hope CoA also put In a mechanism where BCCI funding can be disbursed to states based on population too.

@Malcolm Merlyn 80 % what do you say ? Is it dismantling ? So what about other states ? There are cricketers in other states too. No wonder rohit sharma got so many chances even after doing nothing.

Rahane, Agarkar, Tendulkar, Zaheer Khan, Jaffer, Rohit Sharma, Yadav

These are international players from these 2 states who played lot of matches for India in last 15 years or so. I might have missed someone but certainly their contribution doesn't seem to be so higher than other states as ICF wants to believe.

Is cricket so unpopular in states like UP, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, WB, AP, Orissa, MP, Telangana, TN, Karnataka and Rajasthan (basically 100 crore of Indian population) that they generate only 20% of the total revenue for BCCI? 

 

Or is it that they generate a faire share of revenue and are given pennies?

Bihar has 3 associations claiming to represent bihar and the case is in Patna HC.Who should BCCI fund?

 

The NE states have little cricket except Tripura and Assam.Why funds be wasted there?

 

Chattisgarh was made full member last year and received money.

 

Its a travesty that Mumbai will receive far less money than a nagaland or Manipur.Anyways the GOI has already opposed this and the demotion of 3 govt institutions will not go down well with the GOI and they are likely to interfere now.

What? Little cricket means 0 fund? They can certainly spend few thousand bucks for development of cricket.

 

Mumbai won't get less money than Nagaland and Manipur. It's a myth. If anything Maharashtra and Gujrat won't be getting 80% of money and this corrupt and loot practice will be stopped.

 

Hopefully Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, UP, MP, Rajasthan, AP, Orissa, Kerala will get their fair share of money which BCCI officials had denied them so far to favor Mumbai lobby.

 

For them cricket doesn't exist outside these states,but for others it does.

First show me a source that says 80% of the money is given to Maharashtra and Gujarat?

 

These associations have received moeny in the past and have done nothing.Look at chattishgarh.They developed their cricket to finally get full membership.

SC did a good job by kicking out all the low life parasites. There was no end to them, doing whatever the hell they want. We need to abolish all the additional sub associations present with in the states.

Why not use funds to encourage cricket in our own states too if we can do it is neighboring countries?
