I would have to say it's Smith. Take Smith out and India probably wins the series 3-1 or 4-0.

Smith was his team's MVP.  But Jaddu for me is the Man of the series.  Pivotal contributions that saw India come roaring back.  Maybe a shared award for him and Mr. Brainfade.  Personally, I wouldn't want to give it to Smith simply for his DRS shenanigans.

He's a cheat no doubt but he stood tall when all around him floundered.

Well the cheat is not going to get investigated thanks to his board.  But at least don't give him MoS if he's out there brain-fading.  

 

Interesting that Smith is quick to excuse his own violations as a brainfade, while a slip fielder who believes he had his finger under the ball, can be called a "**cking cheat".

Smith deserves recognition coz India was expected to roll over Aussies this series and would've done so but for Smith. Have to give him kudos for performing so well in India where former Aussie greats such as Ponting and Glichrist faltered.

 

And I blame BCCI for not going after Smith. They had a pretty good case and all the evidence, including the video evidence, but they buckled.

Kudos sure.  MoS award? Not necessarily.   And hopefully the BCCI got some sort of quid pro quo chip that can be used later from CA.  If not, then they are stupid for collaborating with the cover-up.

My heart says it should be Jaddu. This guy has really copped a lot of bull **** from fans and has now developed into World No. 1 bowler and a good all rounder. This series is remarkable for him. 

But I think they will give it to Smith irrespective of who wins tomorrow. That would be sad.

Indian spinners were expected to get wickets and they did.

 

But Yadav also pitched in with key wickets and his spell yesterday was series winning one.

This. Plus in at Pune he was only Indian player to come out of the game with very good performance in both innings.

Smith deserves the MOS, but Jadeja too.. his wkts and lower order runs are what kept Ind in the series. I did not expect the BCCI under the new administration to pursue Smith's brainfade

I would give it to both ummi and jaddu, umesh never let us miss Shami he was umesh shami combined in this series considering the performance of Unlucky.
