looked a bit clueless out there again and let the game drift. Was given a masterclass in captaincy by GG who always had his finger on the button. Just did not let up.

 

His form is also imo affected by captaincy

On a wicket with bounce and pace , picks 3 spinners and Aravind .Keeps Ankit on the bench who would have been ideal.

 

In Contrast Gambhir picked 4 genuine seamers .

Still restricting KKR to 131 after an excellent start by Narine was a great job. Now the batsmen couldn't capitalise, stumbled badly isn't captain's fault... Had RCB win yesterday, all would have been saying that Virat was great in field to restrict the opposition to 131.

Thats a Big if . RCB have gone from bad to worse under Virat , not just this match . We have lost matches after having taken 4 wickets for 8 runs .

A captain cannot control everything during a match , a batting collapse is definitely  one of them , but  how abot squad selection ?  Under Virat RCB has not ever had a settled team for 2 matches on a trot and has never looked a balanced side inspite of having some of the best players in the world . 

 

4 international players + Virat + Chahal + Mandeep + Jadhav . Thats 8 fixed slots , how difficult is it to make a balanced team out of them ? Rather we repeatedly find ourself giving up after losing 2 early wickets , in comparison most other teams look capable of posting a 150+ total even if they lose 4-5 wickets early .

Kohli will end up as India's greatest captain ever, I know some chamchas are having hard time digesting this fact after kohli won 16-17 of his first 20 something test matches and just needs to win 10 more test to overtake a certain some one

Mills hasnt performed poorly . 

Then get rid of them , rather than changing the squad every match . We have watson opening one match if he fails , Gayle comes back and if he fails some one else . Try some thing , May be open with Negi rather than putting all your best players in the top order . 

Why not give a consistent run to Travis Head ?

So I said Mills's inconsistent performance, not poor. Travis Head should play, so should Badree, can't ignore Mills and Milne too, ABD has to be there. Gayle too can't be ignored for long. And he showed why with his innings of  77. With so many options from foreign players only, it's tough to have a fixed set of 4 players, captain will be tempted to rotate the players.

See even KKR too keep rotating the foreign players. Only Narine and Woakes have been constant, same with DD, SRH and KXIP. Onlu MI seems to have more or less a fixed set of foreign players.

Are you serious? Haven't you watched enough of stoinis, henriques etc. He is similar player. Completely useless. BBL has low quality cricket than IPL. Players like head shine there.
