India ODI team has been quite pathetic since WC 2015

India has lost 12 games, and won 9 matches since WC 2015 against top 8 teams. I don't why pundits are acting like it is one of the best Indian teams they have seen and they have to play horribly to lose matches.

Yeah our record is bad, but as can be seen from the record above, only australia and south africa (flukey bangladesh doesn't mean much) have beaten us, those two teams have obviously been better than India, we are the third best team in the tournament, so the experts are not completely wrong, we will have to play very badly to lose to pak, sri lanka. But the real test will begin in the semis. Also this is the first time we are playing such a strong bowling attack, we have 4 quality fast bowlers, so even if the batting is on the weak side, it can easily be compensated by the bowling. Having said that, this team could've been a lot better if some youngsters were selected

Agreed, India have been frontrunners overthe past 2 years beating up on minnow teams.

Expect Pakistan to win comfortably tonight

Agreed India is not among top three due to selectors regressive selections but not for lack of talent, but Pakistan is 2 levels below them , n that is a shame, as most days they can't compete with India

Why do Indians always need to compare against Pakistan.

Insecurity is alarming

People should have realistic expectation. No point hyping your team when you know there are obvious gaps. So as a fan be prepared to face loss or pray for rain and by people-fans I meant Pakistanis.

We have a new captain and some key new ODI players now.... like Bumrah, Kedar and Pandya... who are lending much more balance to the team.

We were a superb ODI team but had a lean phase for a couple of years till mid-2016, which lead to captaincy change and introduction of lower order big hitters, allrounders and death over specialist bowlers.

This team has all the bases covered.

:laugh:   Not worried about today's results precisely because India usually takes care of business against minnows.

We have the worst run rate in first ten overs after WC2015 in ODIs. Even below Pakistani.Lmao. Rohit and dhawan are culprits. They are always cautious no matter the conditions.

Its the "we will put up a big score if one of the top 3 goes on to score a big 100".  A bit self-serving strategy for the top order, and a costly one if one of them doesn't go on and make it count.

We actually have some very good talent, but the selectors believe in playing a Grandfather's XI. That is why our record is pathetic. And that's why we are playing this match also like a Test match. I hope the bowlers can do their magic.
