On coming June 19, seven fast bowlers from the nation — Siraj, Thampi, Navdeep Singh, Nathu Singh, Aniket Chaudhary, Siddharth Kaul and Ankit Rajpoot — will be going to a two-week training camp organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI's) senior selection committee. Kaul looks just under international class to me. He is very short and his pace is not sufficient for a short bowler. Among the 7 selected pacers, Kaul is the only bowler I don't like as an international prospect. A medium pacer with low bounce does not cut it for me. Rajput, Chaudhary, seems to be the frontrunner.Kaul seems to be the selection committee favourite for this season. Nathusingh is very promising, but seems to be very delicate as he was not able to complete his quota of 4 overs even in IPL. Siraj & Thampi are raw & needs a season or 2.Navdeep has bowled well for Delhi & practice matches. Mosher 1 Link to comment
