Clearly is a genuine case of rest for Rohit and Bumrah. I agree with the decision to rest them from WI, although get the feeling that Rohit is being groomed for a test comeback once again.

Maybe both are groomed for Test comeback. Kohli anyway loves Rohit Sharma.

"We need to protect Rohit, says Kohli"  (read the article) - Kohli is very supportive and protective of RS, so Test come back possible yes.

 

ESPNcricinfo learned there are plans to introduce Bumrah to Test cricket on the tour of Sri Lanka in July-August and so wanted to rest him for a bit.

Fast bowlers except Shami needed some rest too. We need Umesh and Bhuvi for SL tour. These idiot selectors missed another opportunity to select some young fast bowlers
