My only complaint was the 2 mindedness in the last moments of his inns.Either he should have shown a bit more aggressiveness  by taking a few calculated risks and playing a few more shots when the 8th wkt fell itself.Otherwise he should have played as carefully as he did thru out the inns till the end and made the bowlers earn his wkt.Why throw away the wkt unnecessarily????????Any way you can't play for your team mates' blunders,recklessness &incompetence? Isn't it?????

Occasional century here and there only gonna help his advert brand value and means nothing in terms of results as he is deliberately/foolishly loosing the games with his captaincy.

Similar to Sachin in cape town 2011 ,came at 20 odd for 2 ,steered the ship with gambo (here vijay) ,got an important partnership with bhaji (hopefully gets one here with anyone) ,almost similar first innings total to chase 

Great knock by Kohli! Only player that is willing to learn from him past mistake and work around it. Had a few pokes outside the off stump, but luckily did not connect. Fortune favors the brave. 

 

SRTs knock in Cape Town in 2011 was a great one too. Probably saved India in that game. That was the last time he performed at a very high level in tests as he wasted the next 2.5 years languishing

Pagal hain kya? Win? At this point, pray for rain!! Without any support, even if he clicks in the 2nd inning, it will be almost impossible.

 

But to give credit where it is due, it was a fantastic knock given the circumstances. Lone man standing. Pandya would have contributed too if he was not run out in the most ridiculous fashion. Hope he learns from that and never replicates that EVER again!

The ball was swinging and seaming here from day 2 and more on day 3.

 

Just check the dismissals of Faf, Rohit, Parthiv, Ashwin , Markram and Amla on days 2 and 3.

There was reverse swing.It was a good track if others had applied themselves we would have easily scored 400
