Mariyam
Is Ishan Kishan the only cricketer in this IPL whose second (family) name contains all the letters of his first name? I can think of 2 more such cricketers, but they are old timers: Zig Ziglar of Motivation United and Arjuna Ranatunjarasinghe of the Colombo Colts Edited January 30, 2018 by Mariyam zakk and PBN 1

Think Duminy should play instead of Evin Lewis in some matches (depending on pitch and context), and Rohit can open. Cutting could come in for Cummins, if they want to beef up lower-order batting. MI will need a attacking match winner as opener. Evin Lewis has few hundreds in T20 format or T20 leagues. He can score a 50 ball 100 when he is on form. JPD has never opened in any T20 league unless maybe for exception . He will get chances in matches where MI will look for all rounders spot or if MI plays only one foreign pacer. He is a good fielder, and can offer a couple of reasonable overs with the ball too.

He is someone who has to bat at 4 at the most. Not lower than that in a tournament like IPL. He has proved he can play cameos as well. Mumbai had Jos Butler open before and Lendl Simmons before JB. So they are more likely to continue with a foreign batsman as opener alongside one local batter. Probably only one international pacer will be part of Mumbai's attack and in those matches JPD will get in. Vijy
Straight Drive
Mumbai and RCB have managed the auction and retention very well. RCB has three international T20 team players: Rahul, Virat and Yuz. Mumbai has three as well: Rohit, Hardik and Jasprit. Having three local strong players who have tremendous experience now of IPL, as well as regulars in Internal T20 and ODi, RCB and Mumbai look very formidable in the aspect of having more likelihood of building much better teams around these players. Sarfaraz Khan was retained by RCB without any rationale (not KLR) - maybe they like short chunky underachievers (going by Khan's record in Mushtaq Ali T20 trophy). Rahul should have been preferred over Sarfraz for sure. He is a current T20i batsman for India. How did they let him go.

Wondering if that could be one reason.
