Why do some South Indians can speak Hindi fluently while many can't?

No such thing is happening except in some SM handles that's all. Nothing on the street.  All these Kannada Rakshana Vedike people are a front for Congress to do vasooli from businesses and create problem for the central government. No Dravidistan BS is happening in Karnataka for sure. We wil not accept the hegemony of TN here in Kar. Come cauvery disputes the same rorganizations will start beating up Tamilians in Bangalore and Kannadigas in TN. These people oppose Hindi and Sanskrit , is an excuse for being anti-Hindu. (in the garb of being anti-Hindi). The same people are afraid and pee in their dhotis and promote Urdu. They don't oppose oppose Urdu boards or language being imposed on them . Kar govt imposes Urdu on Anganwadi workers.

Imagine the hassle of having to converse in Sanskrit daily. I can't see any language other than English more suitable for a common link language. A two-language policy in every state seems like a straightforward solution.

Why do you think said pro-Kannada groups were ok with the imposition of Urdu though? Not a peep about Urdu becoming mandatory in Karnataka?

How did Swami Vivekanand traverse length and breadth of the country till Kanyakumari and manage without knowing a link language? If he can do it in the 20th century, we can do it in thr 21st century.

imagine thinking that the world's first linguistically reformed language is a hassle, but the primitive unreformed whiteman's language with inconsitent grammar isnt a hassle coz whitey gave inbred southies like you a 'theory' of dravidian bootlicking. Incredible to think that a few hundred yrs back we didn't have chillis, potatoes, tomatoes in India. I can't imagine any type of Indian food without these 3.
