Pujara's county performance thread

play this thrash of a batsman at the high risk of wasting yet another oppertunity  in England. He destroyed the chances in the SAF series.  57 tests  to prove his worth and yet no improvement  what so ever !!!!!!!!!!!!! Give Shaw,Gill & Iyer oppertunities for God's sake.If Dravid ,Ganguly  could straight  away  be hits , they why can't these youngsters?

But Dravid and Ganguly, Dravid in particular was a rare talent. We should appreciate them better. You are talking of Shaw and co. Even Rahul is not getting into the team. Kohli and Shastri "backing" gone wrong.

Pujara any way is going to struggle, unless  some huge surprise happens. And why not take chances with  the earlier said younsters????

If Ganguly could become  a huge success, then why can't these guys??? Keep in mind Ganguly had severe weaknesses against short ball.Yet he found ways to score in every conditions. And take Steven Smith & Chanderpaul.... players  with such awkward techniques...

I can quote more players like that ...Bottom line is technique is not  every thing.Sanjay Manjrekar was a perfectionist.... but what happend???

BTW Ganguly with not much technique could avg: a healthy 41.71 in AUS,ENG,SAF,NZL & WI combined while 42.17 was his over all avg:.

need to give Shaw , Iyer &  Gill  chances... guaranteed that any one of them can score at the least the same amount of total runs this hack Pujara  can make.

shaw n iyer currently wnt even stand for long on wkt which atleast pujara

Shaw was figured in 3 games by ipl side against spin , with his footwork n bat angle anderson n broad will eat him alive

iyer is another hack

Dude I have seen his standards during the IPL.
One 93 against KKR and then super flop against the others.
Would rather try Pant over him though that is another Patta Pitch ka Sher, International Mein Flop case .

Hanuman Vihari should be tried IMO, an ideal test player with good technique.

unfortunately shaw has been marked as a future Full India International+Bombay Lobby.
Gill needs to sign with Sajdeh and do something to get into Kohli and Shastri's good books.

every talented youngster who shows promise and performs great in a tours, under 19 level, FC cricket etc should be given chances. We people in ICF are not the experts to judge as to who will eventually succeed or not. Border,Waugh,Chanderpaul,Ganguly,Graeme Smith,Steven smith ,Younis khan,Gary Kirsten etc etc succeeded not due to perfect techniques but with great temperaments to succeed in test cricket.
