rkt.india Posted May 1, 2018 Share Posted May 1, 2018 I think pant is a special talent About his failure- nerves got the better of him about his 2019 spot- he cnt bring what dhoni brings on the table so if he has to play he has to earn a place as batsman which he is good enough to but for that he has to do well in watever chances he get Pant and Dhoni both can play at 5 and 6. We do need a left hander in the middle order. Karthik is good but he does not have the x-factor for ODIs. Dont know why selectors want them to first pick them in T20s. Soumya Sarkar is international caliber bowler? No he is not international caliber bowler, but DK is definitely international calibre batsman. Pant is not, whatever chances he got to show his worth, he has flopped. Lets wait till Pant outperform others even if it is against bangladesh. T20 batting is more challenging than ODIs. then ur number 4 batsman has to be a part timer coz u need a 6th bowler ..... none of the options of number 4 batsman bowl more then 2-3 overs (the ones who do are not good option) Unless we want to play vijay shankar at 4 Our 6th bowler is also an issue , better we look for Krunal at 6 and dhoni at 5.....and have a good no.4 . Hardik is our 5th bowling option and we better find a 6th bowling option in a batsman who can consistently give 5+ over .
