They have ground Bumrah and Bhuvi to ground by playing them in all sorts of meaningless matches. BCCI should have paid both Bumrah and Bhuvi their IPL money and asked to rest and get ready for this tour. They were that important to this team and useless moron blew it. I blame Shastri the most ,what is his job moron should have insisted in saving both these players. Not in any world will BCCI do that...> That is too too idealistic to think of!!! Link to comment

How would he survive 5 day game? He needs to show his fitness first. Back issue linger longer than expected and can surface again. Switchblade 1 Link to comment

No, they did right by playing him in ODIs. Imagine if he had broken down during a test match that would have been embarrassing. Switchblade 1 Link to comment

Even in an idealistic world, Why would bcci pay IPL money to safeguard a bowler who still averages damn average in ODIs and cannot play a complete 5 match test series without serious threat of breaking down mid series? Bumrah is fine and they should manage his work load by not playing him in pointless home /away series depending on his fitness against Zim, Afghanistan, bang,SL,WI etc. Link to comment

If they lose, you will be first one to jump on them and asking to be dropped. Also very loss means loss of points and and rankings. It may be meaningless for you but not for players. That's why you have the concept of managing workloads, so that we can able to field full-strength squad for important series. If Asia cup was any important, we would've had a decent amount of rest days between England test series and the tournament. The fact that we are playing back-to-back games shows how serious this tournament is considered. Switchblade 1 Link to comment
Moochad
IF BK is fit then replace Shami with BK for these upcoming conditions. If we get overcast conditons as predicted, BK will be lethal and his batting will be a huge plus beetle 1 Link to comment
beetle
http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/24511753/bhuvneshwar-kumar-returns-match-winning-three-for The scorecard at the KSCA Cricket Ground in Alur would say India A trounced South Africa A by 124 runs but much more than the result, every eyeball in attendance was focused on Bhuvneshwar Kumar, tracing his every step on the field. And the pacer - the sole reason for interest in an inconsequential third-place match - didn't disappoint on his return from a lower-back injury. After half-centuries from Shreyas Iyerand Ambati Rayudu helped India to a formidable 275 for 7, and Deepak Chahar drew first blood, uprooting Cloete's middle stump, Bhuvneshwar found his groove almost immediately. First ball he bowled a juicy half-volley that was smashed for four, but the next delivery was right on the money, pitching on a length and swinging back in to rap the batsman on the pads. He struck off the last ball of his third over, having Theunis de Bruyn caught behind with one that pitched on a length and moved just enough off the seam to take the outside edge. Then, he trapped Khaya Zondo lbw on the first ball of his next over, reducing South Africa to 22 for 3. Although Senuran Muthusamy prevented the hat-trick, it didn't look like anyone on the field was aware of it in any case. Bhuvneshwar finished his first spell of six overs with figures of 2 for 15 - bowling at full tilt, bending in the follow-through to field the ball, and, more importantly, without showing any signs of discomfort Bhuvneshwar was reintroduced into the attack in the 28th over. Bowling from the far end this time around, he dismissed Sisanda Magala lbw off his first ball and finished with figures of 3 for 33 from his nine overs, as South Africa were bundled out for 151 in 37.1 overs.
