Ashwin is not targeted for that 1 spell. He has miserably failed in what, 15 tests? outside Subcontinent/ Caribbean. And when he was gifted a Chennai dustbowl in Southampton, he went into hiding (Some are even saying he was carrying an injury, which is criminal).

He did well in first test so was considered a good pick. The opinion changed as the series progressed. The last test served as the final nail

Sharma n dhawan dnt even go to Aus

In this form lets not be so sure, he is low on confidence

What? Sharma failed miserably in Australia. In that Adelaide chase, Kohli took us so close and he gifted his wicket away.

So was the hack Dhawan. What the hell are you talking about

Took 7 wickets in the 1st test #justsaying

Anyways the competition should be between Jadeja and Ashwin for no 7 ( unless track suits 2 spinners) . Slotting either of them at no 6 and considering them as AR is stupidity.

In a losing cause (though its a separate issue that our batting failed). Also, couldn't clean up the tail and let England off the hooks after 86/7.

always believed Jadeja  should be in the team ....a player with 3 tripple 100s , an avg: of almost 50(if test data removed)  in first class,a left hander  .....and he avg:s  40+ in last 2 years in tests too.Such a player  with <25 bowl avg: can never ever be avoided.,,,and he emphatically proved that today. In hindsight, my gut belief of playing 3 all rounders in the team for this series(Pandya,Ashwin &Jadeja) too seems not at all  bad option as of now. Both Pandya & Ashwin collectively played the role of a specialist batsman and bowler each. And now  this from Jadeja...

So i hve said travel with both pandya n shankar overseas so many times
Pandya bowling is miles ahead of shankar, n shankar is a better batsman

I dnt knw but both has more batting ability then shami, ishant, bumrah
Ok then since our batting is the weak point now it should be a go brainer. Go for Shankar. He is a better batsman

Wait and watch. Kohli won't drop his buddy Dhawan. I hear mrs Kohli and Mrs Dhawan are pretty close too....

Shankar can be tried. But I am not to confident about him as well. Look at Pant after all the hype he got.
