India’s bowling attack which has been one of the best in recent times has tasted success, especially at the backend of the innings. The Men in Blue have managed to let go the match out of their hands due to the lack of discipline and uncharacteristic death bowling a part of the innings where they conceded some precious runs.

The 44-year-old believes that if India can manage to pick up wickets at regular intervals in the batting paradise of England, they will be unstoppable.

“I think 80 percent. I still feel they have already found their winning combination. I think the only area they have to freeze on is fast bowlers backing Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. So I’m sure in the next few matches, they will also be able to find backup of Bumrah and Kumar. Once they do that, they look a set Indian team,” said Laxman as quoted by Timesnow.com

Addresses India’s middle-order concerns

While the big three for India have been prolific, it is their middle order which raises a lot of concerns. There have been experiments made but it hasn’t generated substantial results.

However, the retired cricketer brushed off any worries about his country’s batting order saying that how Ambati Rayudu has applied himself at No. 4 in the ODI series against the Windies are encouraging signs. The presence of Kedar Jadhav and MS Dhoni further adds depth.

“I think the middle-order is experienced. The way Ambati Rayudu batted at No. 4 against the Windies established himself. We have got Dhoni coming in at No. 5 and Kedar at No. 6. Overall in the batting department, there is class, there is experience, as well as potential,” Laxman further mentioned.

3 Batsmen,

2 and a half (men) as in bowlers

Rest all are passengers.

For the first time since the previous World cup, all teams will be in a proper ODI tournament where there will be a good test of skill. Plenty of nasty surprises ahead with couple of memorable performances expected.

In this case it's Rayudu :phehe:

Rayudu is not going any where. It is between Karthik and Khaleel/Shami depending on requirement :) he owns no.4 position like Ambanis own reliance
