Would you ask the same of currently employed army or para military forces if they wanna give up Kashmir? Would you dare ask them the same question in person? Kashmir also has a major strategic location, after the Tibet debacle (thanks to the worst thing to happen to India - Nehru) there's only J&K which prevents a direct incursion into India, not to mention water resources. If you don't think water, history & the lives lost for Kashmir aren't worth anything then it's you who should change your assessment of why India is where it is today. Kashmir was a land grab plain & simple, I'm all for the betterment of Kahmiris however that can't come at the cost of letting an Islamic radical Pak right at our doorstep, with China closely following behind via CPEC. Kashmir could have been solved if there were better government rather than Congress and BJP. Look at US, they wiped out terror from Afghanistan which is 1000's miles away and even Syria as well as some terror in Pak in NWFP. Wiped out is wrong word. But are you aware that how many terror camps and their other infra as well as count of terrorists that were killed. It may not be 100 percent but it is a massive destruction they caused. Surely it is of significant proportion even if it isn't totally wiped out. Just because US cannot kill all terrorist doesn't mean they should not drop bombs on as many terrorist they can in their stipulated warfare budget. What do you expect. Cause significant destruction without spending huge money? They had money and they used it. As for whether India can do that - we have politicians, most of them uneducated, most of them corrupt, most of them spineless as well. We are not asking governments to remove Terri significantly from Pakistan. The expectation is wipe out significant terror areas from areas which are within our LOC. This should be possible. All land lost to Pak and china must be taken back, strategically India should have land border with Russia. India can prolong this longer than any other nation on earth, and we should.
