Kotla has been rubbish from the beginning

Delhi and Chennai have been spinning pitches throughout especially at peak summer. Chennai prepared a new pitch when CSK was on the road. We got a good game vs SRH and back to the same condition. Somebody should question the mumbai pitch against Aus in 2004. That was deliberately screwed up. Maybe Bal Thackeray dug the pitch up :cantstop:

Actually DC team management requested for a grassy pitch but DDCA informed them that they can't relay the track because of domestic tournaments pitch had become sluggish.

Becoz if you have put into millions, and playing in a lower division means lower match attendances, TV broadcasters will have little interest in telecasting , even top players will be reluctant to play in lower divisiion..bottom line team owners will.loose money

That's why even in US, franchise leagues like NBA, NFL, MLB don't have relegation / promotion

I say, IPL needs to expand, to allow some.of the good players who don't get a game to play

I'd disagree with you there- If there were new teams in areas where there have been no teams yet, UP, Orissa, Kerala, Gujarat, maybe a NE team, the people will still flock to those stadiums to support these teams. And lets say there are many top players across the world most of them would have a chance to play in these new teams - so the quality will be distributed.
We are forgetting that most lower leagues in football consist of small towns where the fan base isnt that great. You are comparing apples and oranges. them An additional IPL franchise in any of the cities/areas will not mean lower attendance but the very opposite.

Yes your option sounds good as well but i feel there has to be consequences for bad results and incentive for good results.

All the Indian commies are cringeworthy to listen to in fact in Ipl at least guys like Kp,Doull,Clarke or Bishop save the commentary from being an embarrassment

Clarke and Morrison are the worst when it comes to foreign commies. Clarke is a big suckup. Morrison commentary skills are evident in him calling SKY as a classy batsman :winky:
