The season kicks off with South Africa's tour in September-October 2019, in which the teams will face off in three Tests - to be played in Visakhapatnam, Ranchi and Pune - and three T20Is. That will be followed by a visit from Bangladesh in November, with the teams playing three T20Is and two Tests, in Indore and Kolkata. The five Tests will be a part of the ICC's new Test Championship. West Indies visit next, for a series of three T20Is and three ODIs, all in December, and in January there will be three T20Is against Zimbabwe and three ODIs against Australia. South Africa complete their tour with a three-ODI series in March. Gollum Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Vizag test will get washed out most probably. Why so few tests? God I hope we have 3 tests in our NZ tour in Feb. So many ODIs against Aus, WI when we had them here recently. Wouldn't it have been better to have more T20s keeping 2020 WT20 in mind?

Yes, the 2021 in India is a replacement of Champions Trophy. After that T20 WC will be held after every two years like 2023, 2025 and so on.

I thought they decided to change it to every 4 years.

I thought they decided to change it to every 4 years. They skipped the 2018 edition after holding too many in a few years , for example between 2007-2010 3 T20 Wcs were held. Maybe it's because of the growing demand for the format and the need to popularize the Sport beyond the traditional countries. JourneyMan Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I wouldn't play any of the test players in the T20s. Pack it with domestic hacks if required.
