Jadeja for Chahal to strengthen lower order batting?

This tail starting at number 8 is putting inordinate pressure on the middle order. Even though Chahal is a better bowler, should we play Jadeja to strengthen the lower order batting? Genuine tailenders starting from number 8 is just not acceptable. Views?

No. Bowling strength is the only thing we have. You want better perfornances with the bat then get better middle order batsmen. No need to tinker with the spinners.

Shankar is a batsman who bowls. Jadeja is a bowler who bats. So if Shankar is replaced, it should be with a different batsman.

Bowling strength is good, but after Bhuvi injury, there is no decent number 8. All other teams have decent lower order batters. I think Jadeja for Chahal might be a fair trade off to get the balance right.

Between Chahal and Kuldeep, Kuldeep seems to be a better option here.

our bowling is our strength. getting a robotic bowler like jaddu will weaken the team, even accounting for his improved batting. jaddu is a gun player in Tests, where accuracy and subtle variations are much more important. he and ashwin should be test specialists, with kuldeep playing in overseas tests.
