What is the definition of cricketing talent in Pakistan

Was watching the 1996 WC match between India and Pak. Saeed Anwar hits some cover drives, and Imran Khan on commentary said that people talk about Brian Lara but Saeed Anwar is something else in 'talent'. Ditto for the talent possessed by one of their openers called Imran Nazir who Rameez Raja said was more talented than Sehwag. According to Imran, Inzamam was also more talented than Sachin because he supposedly played fast bowlers with more time.

 

I wonder what is their definition of " talent"? Is it an excuse for being an inferior cricketer ? I wonder...

See , Pakistani mentality is driven by impulsiveness. They judge their players way too quickly based on too less of a sample. One of the best example for that is Fakhar Zaman. They lifted him up the skies after the CT final. There was this whole talk in padosiland that he's going to demolish teams and their Cricket is changed forever and bla bla bla. How did that ended up ? Only team he demolished since then is Zimbabwe A. There are many other examples like how Amir will be better than Wasim, Umar Akmal is better than Kohli tailunt wise etc etc. 

 

If Stuart Binny was Pakistani and did what he did to Bangladesh in 2014 (58 ao) , he'd have been a regular in their team even now based on his tailunt in that one game.

I think their definition of talent is something a player has naturally acquired.

Since no one can quantify it he can say somebody has more talent without looking like a fool.

one thing i notice, whenever they talk about putting up a training camp ( for cricket,hockey etc...) it sounds like terrorist training camp for Jihad.

What it means is, they know how to hype their players up. Which is a good thing. Every nation tries to push their players.

Unlike a country like india where the coach openly pulls a player down in media. Or an indian commentator trying to portray an express bowler as a medium pacer. 

You are looking at it from a wrong perspective. The problem lies with india. They are within their rights to call their players as the best.

Dude! Stop with the Pak-philia. And no the Indian way is better, which is why we're producing better results than pak consistently. They're better tat nothing than us. Youngsters are not immune to criticism when they're several others waiting in the pipeline.
