We have serious dearth of leadership globally.

Boris, Trump, IK and even that Brazilian president. All are idiots.

Modi is no less either though

Rahul belongs to the list, not Modi.

Modi has risen from the bottom to top, has large administrative experience before being a PM. He is no elite, and one of the best Indian leaders.

Safe for him, non-controversial moderate pick. Warren would have enough backing and funding to cause you know what. But, this election is for Trump to lose.

Rahul as well, yeah. I dont think so modi is competent. And not being an elite or rising up from ranks by no means is certificate of competence.

This year's presidential debate should be fun, top comedy material. Two septuagenarian seniles, one of them closer to dementia and other just narcissistic senile talking big words.

ok .. @vvvslaxman try to beat this totally incoherent speech :giggle:

Deep-state controls the mechanics of foreign policy. Biden or Kamala’s  assertions will not shape how US treats India wrt Kashmir/Pakistan. Trump initially was focusing on transactional policy of give  and take only with India and kept threatening tariffs. But India has managed to convert US to a close ally than ever before. Biden may not harm India much, but IMO, as a voter, it is disheartening to vote to a team that is saying they will teach India on Kashmir. Good summary of this well balanced opinion on India-US Relations and the election.

Trump's free pass to Modi on home agenda: Shivshankar Menon

NEW DELHI: Former national security adviser (NSA) Shivshankar Menon has alleged that US President Donald Trump has given “the Modi government a free pass on its controversial domestic agenda” and that this has drawn sharp reactions from the Democrats, threatening the bipartisanship consensus in the US on strengthening ties with India.

In an article written in American magazine Foreign Affairs ahead of the US presidential election, Menon wrote, “Under Modi, India has excluded Muslim immigrants from the path to citizenship and limited the autonomy of the Muslim-majority Jammu and Kashmir region. Uninterested in human rights and democracy, Trump has given the Modi government a free pass on its controversial domestic agenda.”

Menon went on to claim that it has largely been the Democrats, including Indian American members of Congress, such as Pramila Jayapal of Washington State and Ro Khanna of California, who have expressed public disquiet about some of Modi’s domestic policies. “The bipartisan consensus in the United States on strengthening ties with India is in danger,” the former NSA alleged.

Tbh , Biden hasn’t got balls to tell off next door neighbours dog, and you expect him to intervene. He will do whatever deep state tells him. He is meekest President elect. Its because of sheer meekness of him, India and many countries (Australia Japan SKorea) may dump US and take Chinese side if Biden comes to power cos Biden can not stop China

for that India would have to forgo any claims on Kashmir and Arunachal + disputed land in Uttaranchal territories fully.  And cede influence on Bhutan.

Not happening. Aus blows either side agreed, Japan are historically antagonistic with China bu may be, SK less said the better similar to Indian position ( NK is SK's pakistan to a lesser degree)

USA will make noise under biden but will ultimately do nothing. be it on kashmir or china.

I see utter ignorance among trump supporting Americans. No understanding how the geo politics have worked over years. USA never makes geo political intervention besides rhetorics here and there.  ON the other hand Trump's position will change based on how much you suck up to him. Not that he can intervene.  Many of his utterly screwed up ideas were stoppedby his advisors. One of the white house aide has revealed how crazy this guy is. So seriously these morons should shut up and stop worrying about issues that will have zero impact on their life. USA will intervene in Kashmir issue under Biden? They believe that? Then they are more ignorant than Trump.

There are allways alternatives when you put thinkibg hat on. So no, we won’t have to leave Kashmir or Japan won’t have to quit its claims iver few islands and sea and so on. I think, issue is more down to accepting if China will become world number one or not. Obama in his presidency bridged allmost all the gap between China and US. If it wasn’t Trump, and his attitude, 4 years back, President Xi had allmost self declared himself emperor of world during climate changes summit. And rest of world (Uk eu japan) allmost accepted it.

8 years of Biden, And there will be no chance that Xi is going to loose. And once its clear what route US is taking, India and other smaller nations will rethink their strateg

Haha, ignoring a problem doesn't solve it. It's first time directly Kashmir card  is being used to attract voters. And it's not just Biden, but the Dem Party which is ideological driven by radical left and Islamists.

There are many mechanisms how one interference like sanctions, withdrawal of treaties, UN security council, and even organizations like Ford Foundation where Dems have always used to influence in India. It's dangerous, stupid to really vote for him..
