Cricwala Posted February 9, 2020 Share Posted February 9, 2020 The way we have dominated at under-19 WC level, 4 wins compared to Australia's 3 + the number of finals we have made, shows that we have the best young talent. Where we are failing is proper systems, coaches and administrators who can provide the finishing touch to these guys. Our NCA is no match for ICC's Dubai cricket academy or what Eng & Aus have. We should have at least 4 world-class academies in the four big metros, with professional specialist coaches for all skills- batting, pace bowling, spin bowling, fielding. All the money making by BCCI serves no purpose if we can't dominate the game as we should. Star power is another monster we need to fight. We need to use services of guys like Dravid, Kumble, Amre, More, Vengsarkar, Gillespie but after insulating them from the politics. Hopefully, Ganguly stays at helm for 5 years, and manages the politics while the cricketing brains work under him to put the systems in place. Sgattick10 1 Link to comment
