This is not looked as a favourable action in the eyes of the secular community. Mandir ghanti is not put on loudspeakers, bhajans and kirtans are during festival times, as compared to 5 times each day, 365.24 days every year. yeah right, all are same. Which is why secularism is hypocritical. You're creating a false equivalence between azaan and bells in mandirs. I don't mind bells in mandirs. I absolutely hate the islamic call to prayer. Firstly, because I don't agree with the message - "there is only one god but allah" - and the loud blaring of the loudspeaker annoys the f*** out of me. And it has no place in a predominantly hindu nation. Javed akhtar has no authority on any of these issues, he should stick to entertainment.

Islamists incl BBC Urdu ones spread fake news there, which was busted immediately. He has 2-3 houses, so they went to his vacant house and reported. Now proceed.

The azaan isn't simply offensive to 'dharmics', it should be offensive to secularists as well. "There is only one god but allah", is a very UN-SECULAR MESSAGE. I don't see any problem in Sonu's tweets. In my opinion, he is correct in criticising Azaan here. Also thanks for clearing the issue about his house. PS: Do you agree with Sonu when he says he is against use of any electricity in any temple and gurdwara too for getting loud enough for other people outside the temples and gurdwaras?

I don't agree with you that Secularism is hypocritical, but the issue is this that you are following the Muslim path where they make special rules for Muslims in name of Muslim majority and Islamic Republic. You are doing the same in name of Hindu Majority and the Hindu Rashtra. Same thing Gandhi did about the slaughter of the cow, which was again a hypocritical thing and against the Secular values.
