I remember the super series of 2005 between Australia and rest of the world. The latter were beaten to shreds by an inferior Ponting XI. Steve Waugh's team was a well oiled machine which derailed only on a few occasions by some of the all time great performances like 281*. Sachin failed massively in 1999 in Australia when Steve's team was in full force. Maybe teams will defeat them in England, India, South Africa but Australia of the class of 2000 under Steve Waugh would never be beaten in Australia by any players of that era. Maybe the Windies of 1980's had a chance.

sachin ??? he was the highest run getter for India

Lol sachin played well. Support was non existent. Except laxman’s 160 odd we had a bad team. Openers were bad and Msk prasad. Ganguly also didn’t play well I remember a match where we were in  Good position. Ganguly threw away his wicket to Greg blewett of all people.

Caddick, Kumble and Akhtar bowling line is weakt there itself. They need to negate Ambrose and grind others for whole day.

akthar was always good against aussie, kumble was terrific against aus in 2003-04

Kumble won a test match for India in Australia which no other bowler could but then again so did Agarkar but you get the picture as Kumble is considered a legend of the game

But overall that bowling line up doesn't pose much challenge to Aussies.

Overall we can conclude that this cricinfo's XI doesn't stand a chance against Waugh's XI. Such was the latter's dominance.
