Wind doesn't play much of a factor any more ,as all grounds are stadium with big stands, and it's pretty well know that eng jack up their speedometers, specially during Ashes. They have been  doing this since long. Back in the day Lee and flintoff clocked similar pace in 2005 ashes.

I disagree on wind part. The key in English conditions is understanding the wind.. if i have to guess, wind may have played some rile during that season

Running and upper body strengths are quite different .When it comes to sprinting they are in a completely different level, but not so much with throwing ,but still you get tiny island populations like Barbados producing so many quicks, just shows the kind of ability they have.

Leave that, most Black talent in Englad is grabbed by football. Our club for example has over 100 players but only one black kid, half the time he will be talking football.

I am certain that if ECB can bring some of cricketing enhusiasm among black population in England, they will have better and faster bowlers. Football is only thing among black British population .

btw, there are few southies ( Tamils) who throw ball so hard it bloody hurts keepers hand despite the gloves. There in lies clue who can do it In India

Years back I used to believe these stats blindly, now Stonis has clocked 141, Hadlee was clocked in the 120s but in his bowling videos looks sharp and Cameron Cuffy was apparently timed at 150k in a pace bowling competition .

Cameron cuffy used to clock 130-135 in live matches.

Watch jofra Archer. He just bowls over 90mph effortlessly. Ball doesn’t look that quick but speed guns say different. IMO, without serious runup, reaching close to 100mph isn’t easy.

No way to measure but MJ looks slower. My assessment is based on reaction of batsmen. Over 90mph, bats have very lil time to make a moove

You can't go by batsmen reaction alone because of improving ability of batsmen against pace. Today, batsmen are much more equipped to handle pace

Another kaul ,remember how he used to bowl at the death a few years back.

Natrajan has always been known to bowl yorkers from his TNPL days where he first made his name. Kaul wasn't. Kaul is a much more experienced domestic cricketer. Natrajan is a Yorker specialist.

I thought the Pakistanis were the quickest bame bowlers in England , back when I used to follow they had likes of  alamgir shehriyar ,

Naqaash Tahir,Mohammed Ali, Sajid mehmood ,Kabir Ali, amjad Khan .Now the only guy I know of is saqib mehmood.

You look at Country Cricket. Won’t find any black player in teams. Carribean people who came by ship were interested in Cricket. They established few small clubs too. Nowadays, ithey struggle to have 11 players of Black Caribbean origin. Effectively money and scouts of football grabbed their nxt generation.

Nowadays you can only see Pakistanis and Afghanis playing cricket at grass root level. On personal experience,  I found British Afghanis quicker based on sample size.M compared to Pakistanis.
Indians I guess have given up. They don’t see career in sports probably because they have a experience when Britain was mostly racist. Nowadays, we know, we can make more money and better career in other parts of economy. No matter what Sports bodies do, Our older generation have passed Valuable experience to us. Many Indians are good and talented, but no way, sports is way too nepotistic to us.
Infact, I have first hand experience how subtlety players/skippers try to make your stats just below certain set of players (its long story for some other day).

Pakistanis are now facing same. For example Birmingham area has leagues where there are so many talents who should be playing county but end up playing as our opposition occasionally. It’s different story  that they hammer all white team in other league and nxt year, are forced to play again among themselves. It will take atleast 10-15 years for them pakistani clubs to reach a certain level where they can be officially be classed as clubs to be seen as talents for national team. By then, most likely those talented Pakistanis/Afghanis will understand what Indians allready know.

No matter how good you are ,bowling yorkers in t20s without reverse swing comes down to luck ,kaul too used to nail those yorkers but it was a matter of time that he would over or under pitch and then it started to disappear and his confidence got shattered .

Lets see how Natarajan goes and how long it takes till he gets hammered and if he can recover from it.

Yeah that's a point

Won't be surprised if he were,

How does he compare to Johnson?

Who looks quicker?

Bro, the problem I find with these videos are that they give selected balls. Also, Devon Malcolm was playing in early 90's and the video quality is different. Just see MJ's videos. Just see how nice the camera angles are. All of this makes a difference visually.

However, as a bowler MJ was a champ. He was quick, around 150's. Difference between MJ and Malcolm is, Malcolm used to bowl quick and had a heavy ball. So, MJ would force batsmen on the backfoot because of his sheer quality.

However, if someone faced Devon, because of the pace and the heavyness of the ball, they would feel the impact right upto their shoulders.

About 98 reading, Srinath was clocked at 128, Rose was clocked around 133ish and Ambrose around 130. We know that that wasnt their regular speed.
