Guys, please recommend 5-6 shows to me, post pandemic ones. Can be mini-series or long ones; it doesn't matter. Haven't watched much the last 5 odd years.

stranger things

mindhunter

squid game

most obvious ones. i finished watching beast in me.  It is somewhat based on a true story. TOp notch performance by Matthew rhys.

I don't like watching TV series as they tend to drag on forever. Didn't like even Breaking Bad. But you gotta watch Chernobyl with hardly 5-6 episodes which was so gripping, informative and full of suspense. It's on JioHotstar.

Squid game S2 was very underwhelming.

Alice in the borderland on Netflix based on live action manga mogs squid game concept.

Mindhunter is literally one of the best works of Fincher.  It breaks my heart everytime there is no S3.

No parallel series like this exists.

Although do check out Black Bird on Apple TV+... Performances will blow you away.

Most people give up on S1..  they don't know what's to come later on.

Better Caul Saul is even better than Breaking Bad imo

@coffee_rules will agree

Breaking bad is one series i would start stop start stop.. never got into it. Gave up. Mainly because the subject never got me interested

S1 and first half of S2 is a tough watch... It gets better and better.

So many layers.

You can't watch BCS before finishing up BB.

I saw three seasons looking at all the hype and I gave up after seeing it go nowhere. The only thing I loved about that series was the opening titles using chemical symbols which was so creative.

The one I watched has hardly 5 episodes and Breaking bad I saw around 5 years ago. All these 6 to 7 seasons long TV series remind me of the daily soaps our women watch with layered story telling and all that. :wp3:

If you want to watch a mini series check out Black Bird on Apples TV+

Only 6 episodes.. based on real life incidents.

You will be blown away by the performances.

It's market is mazdoor's and chapri's. Nothing wrong in that. It is not meant for the multiplex crowd.

Watched these movies over the last 2 weeks.

Satyam Sundaram(Meiyazhagan) - The best of the lot. A simple plot of Aravind Swamy not knowing Karthi kept me hooked till the end. Not a single boring moment and most South Indians can relate to this movie. Loved it.

The Brutalist - The 1st half of the movie was fine and in the 2nd half, the director didn't know how to end the movie and totally messed it up. It is over 3 hrs long and took me 3 days to finish the movie. Strictly average even if you are an architecture enthusiast.

F1 - Typical Hollywood formulaic racing movie. Average movie with average background score by Hans Zimmer.

Black Bag - It's only at the half way of the movie, you understand what is actually happening. Style over substance.
